As custodians of the Pashmina craft, Pashmirah Textiles is committed to preserving, and where necessary, restoring, historically authentic techniques that define what true Pashmina has always been.

Many of these methods evolved over centuries and were once practiced exclusively for royal courts and discerning patrons across Asia, Europe, and beyond. Over time, several of these techniques were simplified, rushed, or lost as production pressures replaced tradition. Pashmirah Textiles exists to reverse that erosion.

Our objective is to uphold these traditional disciplines in their original form. fibre preparation and hand-spinning to specialised weaving systems and intricate handwork, allowing the craft to follow the timelines it demands. This is why some Pashmina creations take months, while others, especially those involving complex, historically rooted techniques, take several years to complete.

These extended timelines are not indulgent; they are essential. The techniques that once made Pashmina worthy of royal patronage cannot be compressed without losing their character, balance, and integrity.

We also engage with recognised national initiatives and institutions supporting responsible enterprise and traditional textiles, including Make in India, Startup India, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC), and the India Handloom Brand.

Academic and ecosystem engagement, alongside relevant Pashmina and craft bodies, further strengthens governance, accountability, and heritage stewardship.
